The show, and a venue with almost no history

Port Wentworth sits approximately 20 minutes from downtown Savannah. If you searched for a Savannah date, this is the relevant one.

Here is what differentiates this page from the others in this run. The venue opened in August 2026. Its inaugural concert featured Billy Currington and Kip Moore on August 7. By the time Ty Myers arrives, the room will be approximately ten weeks old.

That cuts both ways. Staff are still learning the building, and several operational details remain unsettled. It also means almost every guide you find is either guessing or quietly copying rules from an entirely different venue.

The start time, and why the venue settles the argument itself

Two different times are circulating. The venue’s own listing specifies 7:30 PM. One resale marketplace advertises 8:00 PM.

Normally that would be a judgment call between competing sellers. Here it is not, because the venue answers the question directly.

Its A-Z guide states that Ticketmaster is the only verified ticket seller for this building. It goes further, warning that tickets bought elsewhere cannot be verified and may not get you in. A seller the venue does not recognize is not a reliable source for the venue’s own schedule.

So 7:30 PM is the reliable figure, and worth planning your evening around.

Doors are not published yet, and the venue says so

No door time exists for this particular date. The stated policy is that doors open either 60 or 90 minutes before showtime, depending on the event.

That puts doors somewhere around 6:00 to 6:30 PM (est.). This page deliberately avoids printing a single number, because the venue itself has not committed to one. Check the official listing in October for confirmation.

Your map app may send you to the wrong place

This is the single most valuable detail here, and it originates from the venue itself.

The directions and parking page warns that the address may not display correctly in some map and rideshare apps. It names names. Uber and Apple Maps may not route to the correct location. It recommends Google Maps, Waze or Lyft instead.

Venues almost never admit a problem like this publicly. Take the warning seriously and confirm your route before departing.

The main address is 20 Anchor Park Boulevard. If that fails, the venue offers three fallbacks: 18 Anchor Park Boulevard, 100 Anchor Park Boulevard, which is the fire station, or 468 Meinhard Road for the secondary entrance.

The recommended approach is from Highway 21 or I-95, merging onto Highway 30, then turning left before the fire station.

Parking is temporary, and the venue is upfront about it

The permanent lots beside the pavilion remained under construction throughout 2026. What operates currently is a temporary arrangement. The venue’s language is unusually candid, requesting cooperation while the infrastructure work continues.

Three practical consequences follow from that situation.

Buy your parking pass in advance. Passes are also sold on site on event days, but only while they last.

Arrive early regardless, because a pass buys entry rather than a specific spot. All parking is first come, first served, so the best spaces go to whoever arrives earliest.

If you need accessible parking, buy the ADA pass specifically. A general pass will not do, supply is limited, and early visitors said this was one area still needing work.

Rideshare pickup and drop-off is Lot F.

What early visitors actually said

The track record here is brief but not empty. Fans who attended opening week published reviews, and they merit reading before you choose a ticket.

On sightlines the reports are consistently positive. One attendee reported that there were genuinely no bad seats anywhere in the pavilion, and the modest size of the room presumably contributes.

On sound they disagree sharply. One reviewer called the acoustics horrible, saying that bass and drums overpowered everything and the lyrics became difficult to follow. She added that the seats rattled all night. Another attendee that same weekend described the acoustics as fabulous, while a third simply found the volume excessive.

That disagreement is typical for a room this new, and it is clearly not unanimous, so this page will not manufacture a verdict. Sound is the open question here, not the view. If you were planning to pay a steep premium for a front section, that is worth knowing.

Two smaller notes from the same reviews. The seats have no cup holders, and at least one fan found them uncomfortable. And one attendee flagged beverage service and the exit as things the venue still needed to sort out, while another the same week praised the traffic control and said getting in and out was easy. Treat the exit as unsettled.

No folding chairs, and no cooler

If you read this site’s pages covering the two previous nights, reset your assumptions entirely.

Wilmington allows blankets and low lawn chairs. Cary bans blankets but allows chairs. Port Wentworth allows neither, because it is not a lawn venue. Foldable chairs and collapsible seats are both prohibited, and WSAV’s guide to the venue lists lawn chairs among the banned items.

Coolers are prohibited as well, along with outside food, drinks, bottles, cans and thermoses. Baby bottles and formula remain acceptable exceptions.

Bags, and the number people get wrong

Two measurements matter. A clutch is permitted at 4.5 by 6.5 by 2 inches or smaller. Anything larger must be clear, no bigger than 14 by 14 by 6 inches, with two pockets maximum.

Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted, although both are subject to inspection.

If you arrive with something oversized there is a bag check. It costs $15, worth knowing in advance since you cannot pay in cash.

Cashless, with no safety net mentioned

The venue accepts no cash whatsoever, including for tickets, parking and concessions. All four major credit cards are accepted.

Worth flagging: some cashless venues run a desk that converts cash to a prepaid card. This one does not advertise one. Bring a card.

One genuine upside on pricing. The venue uses all-in ticket pricing, so fees appear up front rather than at checkout. Buying in person at the box office also avoids online service fees.

Small things that change the night

No re-entry. Once you go in, you stay in. Handle the car, the food and any errands first.

Alcohol needs a wristband. Anyone buying a drink must be wristbanded first, at a station or at the point of sale. Drinking without one means losing the drink, and possibly your seat.

Leave the golf umbrella. Non-retractable umbrellas are banned, so a compact folding one is the only option. October on the Georgia coast can still turn wet.

Mobile tickets only. The box office does not print. Download before you travel, because cell service around a full venue is unreliable.

No laptops or tablets. An unusual rule, and easy to trip over if you came straight from work.

Metal detectors are in use. Walk-through units, hand wands, or both.

There is one main entrance for general admission, with a separate premium entrance to its right for suite and club ticket holders.

How big is it, and why the numbers disagree

Published capacity figures do not match. The city and the project’s partners describe a 5,000 seat venue. The Savannah Morning News reported about 4,200 seats when the naming was announced, attributing that to multiple speakers at the event.

This page uses the larger figure and marks it unconfirmed, because no operator has published a final number with a breakdown. That is why you will see an estimate label rather than a confident claim.

The comparison that actually helps: the same operator runs a 9,000 seat arena and a 2,500 seat theater in Savannah. This room sits between them. Whichever figure is right, expect an intimate show by amphitheater standards.

One quirk of the site. The pavilion shares Anchor Park with an ice rink complex, and your concert ticket does not get you into it.

The bill, and where this sits in the run

Brent Cobb and Benny G open. Cobb is a Georgia native, which gives this bill more local weight than most nights on the tour.

This is the second of two shows on consecutive nights. The Wilmington show the evening before is sold out at the box office, so some fans touring the region will land here instead. This date is not sold out.

It is also the state’s second stop of the run, after Macon. The two rooms could hardly be less alike, and the contrast is a good reminder to read each venue on its own terms.
